Via Varejo, owner of the national operations of the Casas Bahia and Ponto Frio retail stores, controls about 1,200 stores nationwide. Their IT team, based in the city of São Caetano do Sul, is responsible for maintaining and managing all the communication resources of the group´s stores.
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, through its OmniPCX Enterprise Business Communication solution, delivered to Via Varejo a highly reliable solution, converged in voice, data and application, and with rich functionality. Thus, the goals sought by Via Varejo were achieved and all the company’s telephone communications were maintained at no additional cost.
In addition to the aforementioned equipment, Via Varejo’s Communication Infrastructure also has OmniTouch Contact Center Solutions Standard Edition equipped with approximately 400 active service positions, Vocale IVR Audible Response Unit System integrated to internal resources, Vocale R3 Voice Recording Systems and OpenTouch Multimedia Services Unified Communications Solutions.
