PMDF

The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) is the public security body responsible for ostensible policing and preserving public order in the Brazilian Federal District, as well as, subsidiarily, acting as the auxiliary and reserves force of the Brazilian Army.

What was the client’s problem?

The PMDF had an obsolete data network that needed a technological update, in addition to offering Wi-Fi network for all battalions. The customer wanted to extend the level of service. In this sense, the project aimed to renew the LAN network from a fast solution to a gigabit solution and implement WIFI on their locations.

What was the solution presented?

The project presented by 3CORP in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise included something around 500 switches and approximately 300 access points. It was a WIFI solution with redundant controls and a switch solution that encompasses the entire facility of the PMDF

Results achieved

Availability of WIFI within every environment of the Military Police, which offered greater access to the data service of MP users and also a higher level of network service was achieved by providing switches with gigabit internet ports. All this enabled the customer to have faster traffic within the network and granted sufficient ports to meet all of the PMDF´s demands.
